Rupesh Roy (West Bengal) clinched the title in the boys under 18 category of the Adidas-Madras Cricket Club Junior National tennis championship at the Club courts, in the finals against Saurabh Kohli (3-6, 6-4, 1-0).
Sandhya Nagaraj (TN) picked up after a slow start to beat Poonam Reddy (AP) 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 in the girls' under-18 finals. Sandhya who was having problems with her serve in the first set, picked up form in the second and third set and went on to win the match.
The under 14 category saw a keenly fought match between Navaneetha Kannan and Tariq Jacob, both from Tamil Nadu. Navaneetha Kannan defeated Tariq Jacob 5-7, 6-2, 6-3.
In the girls under 14 final, G.K. Shweta of Karnataka won 6-4, 6-3 over Assam's Varsha Dutta.
