NUTRINE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES 2003

Tariq Jacob of Tamil Nadu won the AITA under 14 chanpionship series title in the third leg of the Nutrine Naturo tennis championship at the SDAT-Nungambakkam Stadium on Saturday. Tariq had also paired up with Akash Gujarati of Maharashtra to win the doubles title.

In the girls' under 14 finals, the title went to Grace Hannah of Tamil Nadu, as she defeated Amritha Seth of New Delhi in two sets 7-5, 6-0.

The under-14 winner and runner-up were awarded 20 and 15 AITA points respectively, while the top two in under-12 received 5 and 4 circuit points. The fourth leg will be held in Kolkata from September 10 to 13.

In the boys under 12 finals, Yuki Bhambri defeated Subash Chander Raj
6-4, 6-4. In the girls under 12 finals, the title went to Prerana Mytri who won 7-6(1), 7-5.
